Represent NYC: Proposed HDFC Regulations with CB 10 Chair Brian Benjamin

It’s no secret that the cost of living in New York City is outrageously high and for many, owning a home is just not feasible. To address this issue, the city created the HDFC program to make homes more affordable for buyers. However, a new proposed regulation that would alter the benefits of this program has caused a debate among homeowners.

On this episode of “Represent NYC,” Central Harlem’s Community Board 10 Chair Brian Benjamin sits down with HDFC Shareholder Gayle Davis, John McBride of the HDFC Coalition, and Mark Matthews from the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) to discuss their opposing viewpoints of the effects this new regulation will have on those involved.

This episode originally aired in December 2016.
