Happy fall, everyone! We always like to pass along info on awards and grant opportunities (check out past posts on this topic here and here). Today we bring you a few more from Wave Farm, a nonprofit arts organization that supports “creative and community use of media and the airwaves,” and The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes, a nonprofit that works to increase participation and collaboration in the arts. The Media Arts Assistance Fund from Wave Farm offers up to $4,000 to arts organizations that need support with organizational development, professional development and/or communication. Application deadlines: October 1, January 1, April 1 and July 1.

The Media Arts Assistance Fund for individual artists awards up to $10,000 to support the distribution and exhibition of moving image media and art based on emergent technology. Application deadline: January 1.

Presentation Funds from The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes offers partial support to non-profit organizations located in New York State for in-person appearances by independent artists working in moving image media and sound art, including video, digital and computer-based works. Application deadlines: January 1, April 1 and August 1.

Finishing Funds from The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes provides support to New York State artists for the completion (post-production) of film, video, sound, new media and Web-based art. Awards are made annually and range from $500 to $2,500. Application deadline: TBA.
